IA-N Analyse plugin terms of use
This page is an English translation of the French version, which prevails.
Version 1.0 of 14 October 2026. These terms apply to the IA-N Analyse video analytics plugin (the "Plugin"), published by ElectroniSafe.
1. Publisher
ELECTRONISAFE, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €2,500, registered office: 3706 rue du Grand-Mont, 73540 La Bâthie, France; RCS Chambéry 924 849 540; VAT FR14924849540. Contacts: support@electronisafe.fr (support), contact@electronisafe.fr (contracts and personal data, subject "Données personnelles"), security@electronisafe.fr (security vulnerabilities).
2. Purpose and acceptance
2.1 The Plugin is video analytics software installed in the server of a video management system (VMS) built on the Nx platform. It analyses the frames that this server passes to it and returns the detected objects and the alarms to it.
2.2 By installing or using the Plugin, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install it.
2.3 The Plugin licence is sold by ElectroniSafe, directly or through distributors and installers. Price, invoicing and payment are agreed with the seller; these terms govern the licence and the use of the Plugin.
3. Licence
3.1 ElectroniSafe grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Plugin:
- on the single VMS server activated with the licence key;
- for the number of cameras and the options purchased;
- for the video protection needs of the site.
3.2 One key per server. At the first activation, the key is bound to the server by hashed technical fingerprints (no personal data). A key only works on one server at a time. Any attempt to circumvent the activation makes the licence void.
3.3 One camera, one place. The Plugin never analyses more cameras than the licence covers. A freed place can be assigned to another camera.
3.4 Change of server. On a request sent through your distributor, ElectroniSafe unbinds the key, which can then be activated on the new server.
3.5 ElectroniSafe retains all rights in the Plugin, its documentation and the "IA-N" and "ElectroniSafe" trademarks. You only receive a right of use.
4. Duration, trial and end of licence
4.1 Yearly licence, per camera. It is valid for one year from the first activation in the VMS; its end date is shown in the VMS. Renewal is ordered from the seller.
4.2 Trial. A trial key is valid for 30 or 90 days, depending on the key provided. The analysis stops the day after the end date, with no grace period.
4.3 Expiry. When a yearly licence expires without renewal, the analysis continues for 30 days with a warning in the VMS, then stops.
4.4 No contact with the licence portal. The licence continues for 30 days, never beyond its end date, then the analysis stops.
4.5 In all these cases, only the analysis stops: the video and recording of the VMS are never affected.
4.6 Suspension and revocation. If these terms are breached (in particular copying, circumventing the licence or an excluded use under section 7), ElectroniSafe may suspend or revoke the licence after a written notice that remains without effect for 8 days. When the licence ends, you uninstall the Plugin.
5. What is not allowed
Except where permitted by law (Article L.122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code: backup copy, observation of operation, interoperability), you must not:
- decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate or modify the Plugin, create derivative works of it, or extract its artificial intelligence models;
- circumvent or disable the licence control, the server fingerprint or the anti-copy protection;
- copy the Plugin to use it on a server other than the licensed one;
- distribute, sublicense, rent, lend or sell the Plugin, except for the resale of licences by distributors and installers under their agreement with ElectroniSafe;
- remove, hide or alter proprietary notices, trademarks or copyright notices;
- use the Plugin to develop a competing product;
- carry out intrusion tests without the prior written authorisation of ElectroniSafe. To report a vulnerability, see our Security page.
6. Third-party components
The Plugin contains third-party components governed by their own licences. Their list and the text of their licences are delivered in the "LICENCES_TIERCES.txt" file of the kit. For these components, their licences prevail over section 5. Where a licence requires it, this file states where to obtain the corresponding source code.
7. Permitted and excluded uses
7.1 The Plugin detects people, vehicles and animals and, with the dedicated option, reads the licence plates of vehicles at walking pace (access points, barriers, car parks). It never tries to find out who a person is: no facial recognition, no biometric identification.
7.2 The Plugin must not be used:
- to identify people from biometric data, infer their emotions or categorise them according to sensitive characteristics;
- to assess or monitor employees beyond the protection of property and people;
- to film public roads, places open to the public or the inside of neighbouring properties beyond what the law allows, or without the authorisations it requires;
- as a safety component of a machine or installation governed by product safety regulations;
- by or for law enforcement authorities for investigation purposes.
7.3 An excluded use is the sole responsibility of the person who decides on it.
8. Personal data
8.1 Cameras film people: this is personal data. The customer who operates the site and decides what is filmed is the controller. ElectroniSafe is the publisher of the Plugin, which it designs and develops.
8.2 The Plugin analyses the frames in the memory of the VMS server: it records no image and sends none. Detected objects, alarms and plates are kept by the VMS, with the retention period set by the customer.
8.3 For the licence, only the following information is sent to the ElectroniSafe licence portal, hosted in France: the key, the number of cameras, hashed technical fingerprints of the server, and the versions of the VMS and of the Plugin. No image, no camera name.
8.4 It is up to the customer and their installer to inform the people filmed (information sign, mention of the automatic analysis of images), to set a limited retention period (for video surveillance in France, 30 days at most by default), to carry out the data protection impact assessment when required, to mask private areas (neighbours' windows, public road) with the Plugin's excluded zones and the camera's privacy mask, and to limit plate reading to the strictly necessary zone.
9. No guaranteed detection results
Artificial intelligence analysis produces false alarms and can miss events (night, rain, backlight, distance, dirty or badly aimed camera, power or network outage). The Plugin is not a certified security system: it does not replace an alarm system, a monitoring centre or a human presence. It helps to detect and to alert.
10. Warranty and liability
10.1 The Plugin is provided "as is"; the statutory warranties that cannot be excluded still apply. It is supported on the VMS versions validated by ElectroniSafe, listed in the installer guide and shown in the integration banner; on any other version, its operation is not guaranteed.
10.2 ElectroniSafe's total liability, for all causes combined, is limited to the licence fees actually paid for the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
10.3 ElectroniSafe is not liable for: indirect damage (loss of business, of revenue, loss of chance); the consequences of an intrusion, theft or incident that was not detected; failures of third-party hardware (cameras, network storage, network); data loss caused by a faulty network configuration; false alarms and missed detections inherent in artificial intelligence analysis.
10.4 These limits do not apply in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, to bodily injury, to liability for defective products, or where the law prohibits limiting liability.
11. Updates
ElectroniSafe may provide new versions of the Plugin. They are installed with the installation program of the kit, which keeps the licence and the settings. Free security fixes while the licence is active; each Plugin version receives security fixes for at least 5 years after its release.
12. Governing law and disputes
12.1 These terms are governed by French law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Convention) is excluded.
12.2 In the event of a dispute, the parties first seek an amicable solution for 30 days after a written request.
12.3 Failing that, any dispute between merchants falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Chambéry (France), even in the event of multiple defendants or third-party claims. If the other party is not a merchant, the ordinary rules of jurisdiction apply.
13. Changes
ElectroniSafe may amend these terms. The new version applies to licences ordered after its publication on this page.
